Description:
Locals are accepted at the same rate.
Will accept 13 or 26-week contracts.
Can request up to 2 major holidays off.
This unit requires travelers to work 1 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year’s/Eve).
The facility offers a beautiful campus and great camaraderie among staff.
There are opportunities for staff book clubs and group dinners.
Permanent candidates from any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.
All facilities honor active compact licenses.
Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor.
There are 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms.
Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrubbing, and caring for low-risk antepartum and low-risk labor and delivery.
Procedures include blood administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps.
Specialty experience includes attending all deliveries, high-risk deliveries, GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery.
The staffing ratio is 1:1-3.
Floating may be required to post-partum, and possibly to other departments based on skill set.
Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
References are required covering the past year.
Travelers may be expected to comply with additional training and modules.
