Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,335 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years; highly preferred 5 years of high-risk experience License: Current compact license required Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP; Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Current supervisory references Proof of required certifications Ability to pass clinical review Experience in a high acuity and high pace environment Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including eye care and assessments Description: Candidates must have experience in labor and delivery with a focus on high risk and high volume. Nurses will function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and will continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Responsibilities include the assessment and care of mothers and newborns, including performing eye care and vitamin K injections. Experience with EPIC electronic fetal monitoring is required. The average daily census is 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month. Staff will follow guidelines established by the organization. Checking for and managing complications is essential. Nurses will be expected to float to postpartum and antepartum as needed. Work on weekends and holidays may be required. Candidates must have strong skills in neonatal resuscitation and will work in a fast-paced environment. Assistance with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries is required. Candidates should be prepared to work collaboratively with multiple departments to provide excellent patient care. References from charge nurses or leads are preferred. Candidates will be expected to contribute positively to the team dynamics and provide high-quality care. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities as needed.
