Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,335 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in high-risk environments preferred License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Current supervisory references Proof of required certifications with submission Ability to pass clinical review Experience in high acuity and fast-paced environments Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor and delivery. Candidates should possess current supervisory references. A compact license must be held at submission. Candidates will function as a baby nurse during delivery and provide continued care for newborns until transfer to postpartum. Candidates are expected to circulate and provide neonatal care, including administering vitamin K injections and conducting newborn assessments. The unit handles high-risk and high-volume deliveries, including a variety of patient diagnoses and midwifery clients. There are 31 rooms with an average daily census of 15, equating to approximately 500-600 deliveries per month. Access to interdisciplinary support services is available. Nurses may be required to float between units, including postpartum and antepartum. Candidates should have a strong background in high-risk experiences, including support for substance recovery and community care clinics. Floating to sister facilities may occasionally be required. Healthcare providers are needed to assist with a range of skills, including epidural anesthesia, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum hemorrhage management. The department follows staffing guidelines and is committed to maintaining high standards of care. Flexibility to work every other weekend and on holidays as needed is essential. Additional responsibilities will include completing assigned modules.
