Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a high acuity, high pace environment preferred. License: Current compact license required. Certifications: Current BLS and NRP certification required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred. Must-Have: Must have 3-5 years of labor and delivery experience. Current supervisory references are required. Must have proof of required certifications upon submission. Candidates must pass a clinical review with no exceptions. Candidates must have experience circulating and providing newborn care, including administering vitamin K injections. Floating to postpartum, antepartum, or other related units may be required. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-risk and high-volume labor and delivery environment. Candidates should be able to function in a fast-paced setting and work effectively with diverse patient populations. Expected to provide care for midwifery clients, manage adult recovery services, and support community care clinics. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is necessary. Nurses will work with a daily census averaging around 15 patients and be involved in approximately 500-600 deliveries monthly. Candidates will float as needed to support postpartum and antepartum care. Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays is necessary. This position requires adherence to staffing guidelines and participation in special procedures as part of patient care. Candidates should be comfortable with clinical skills including but not limited to newborn assessment and care, maternal monitoring, and emergency interventions. Support teams available include respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
