TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in high-risk labor and delivery License: Current compact nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience in high-risk delivery care. Candidates must have current supervisory references. Candidates must pass a clinical review. Candidates must be able to circulate and provide newborn care, including administering vitamin K injections and conducting assessments. Candidates must be willing to float to postpartum and antepartum units as needed. Description: This position involves working in a high volume labor and delivery environment. The average daily census is approximately 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries each month. The facility has 31 beds available for patient care. The nurse will work closely with midwifery clients and private obstetricians. The role requires the nurse to function in the capacity of a baby nurse during delivery. The nurse will continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Experience in high acuity and fast-paced environments is essential. The position involves using electronic fetal monitoring and a specific charting system. Candidates are expected to assist with high-risk deliveries and support women during labor. Each nurse is required to work every other weekend and on holidays as needed. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. It is essential to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Expected duties include assessing patients, managing medication, and providing education to families. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical skills in maternal and newborn care.
