Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,432 per week in Meridian, ID

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification ACLS NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Stable Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D) Experience in Postpartum (PP) Circulating experience required Triage experience strongly preferred Description: The unit consists of ten Labor and Delivery beds. There are two operating room suites available for C-sections. Labor and Delivery RNs will circulate in the operating room. The unit has four triage beds for patient assessment. Postpartum care is provided in ten dedicated beds. The average number of births per month is about 120. AWHONN guidelines are followed for staffing ratios: 1:1 in Labor and Delivery and 1:6 couple care in Postpartum. RNs are required to titrate drips, including primarily Pitocin per protocol and magnesium. Charge Nurses, Resource Nurses, and a House Supervisor are present on each shift. The unit has CNAs available 4-5 days and nights a week. There is a unit clerk available 24/7. OB hospitalists and midwives are available 24/7. A neonatal nurse practitioner is present 24/7, with a neonatologist available within 15 minutes. CRNAs are in-house 24/7 for anesthesia needs. The unit does not have Tele/Monitor Techs. The Electronic Fetal Monitoring System used is GE Connect. Staff work 12-hour shifts and are not permitted to work more than five consecutive shifts. Float requirements include the possibility of floating to like units within the area and rare floating to other locations. Scrubs are provided in blue. Unit-specific orientation is customized based on traveler needs, typically consisting of 4-6 shifts. There is no call or standby requirement. Weekend and holiday requirements are based on unit demands.
