The nurse complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for performing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served. The required education for this position is an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. An essential part of this role includes preventing damage, misuse, or loss of equipment in the provision of patient care. The Clinical Nurse may be responsible for guiding, assisting, and directing unlicensed assistive personnel as defined by relevant policies.
