Description

Department: LDRP
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NRP*
- # of L&D Beds: 4 L&D beds, 7 postpartum
- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: Labor: 1:1-2, PostPartum: 1:2-3
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: >35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets
- Years Experience: 2 yrs experience required
- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Antepartum/Labor- Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc . Postpartum: Prenatal vitamin, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol
- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes
- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: Neonatal vent- CPAP, Bipap, high flow
- EFM System OB Trace Vue
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7-7 // block scheduling
- Weekend Requirements: Every third weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Depending on availability
- Floating Requirements: Floating to MSP/ED for helping hands, mostly sitting 1:1 with patients
- Scrubs: Provided
