Description:
Position requires an L&D Registered Nurse with immediate start availability.
Ratios during shifts are 1:1.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
Weekend shifts are mandatory.
The candidate must possess certifications including BLS and NRP.
There is no on-call requirement for this position.
Floating within the hospital is expected, but floating to sister hospitals is not required.
Block schedules are not accommodated.
Local candidates are accepted.
Request for time off is limited to a maximum of one week.
The unit caters to childbearing individuals and newborns, encompassing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.
This facility functions as a Level 3 Perinatal Center, managing approximately 70% of complex high-risk cases.
The unit sees around 150 births per month.
The facility hosts outpatient services during clinic closure and is equipped with two operating rooms for C-sections and other procedures.
The second L&D Registered Nurse assists in deliveries of non-compromised infants.
Daily census averages are around 8 patients.
The department engages with a spectrum of interdisciplinary support services.
The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults.
The candidate must be able to circulate C-sections and respond to high acuity cases requiring additional skills.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in medical-surgical, PCU, or ICU settings.
Experience with specific procedures is beneficial but not mandatory.
This role may involve triaging obstetric patients as needed.
The unit has advanced monitoring equipment and maintains a focus on high-quality patient care.
