Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
Location: Vacaville, CA
Position Details
- Specialty: Maternal Child Health (MCH) – RN
- Schedule: 12-hour Night shifts | 36 hours/week | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and emergency situations
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Support physicians and midwives during deliveries
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience (within the last 3 years)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN license (state where care is provided)
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ACLS
- AWHONN
