Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,664 per week in Dickinson, ND

Job Title: LDRP RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NRP Must-Have: Facial hair must be managed for fit testing requirements. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The unit has 4 Labor and Delivery beds and 7 postpartum beds. Nurses will follow established guidelines for patient ratios: Labor 1:1-2 and Postpartum 1:2-3. Common patient diagnoses include mothers over 35 weeks in labor and mom/baby couplets. Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips, including Magnesium and Oxytocin. A charge nurse is present on each shift, and the charge nurse may take an assignment. Nurses will troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as neonatal vents and CPAP. The Electronic Fetal Monitoring system used is OB Trace Vue. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM with block scheduling available. Weekend requirements include working every third weekend. Floating to assist in other areas may be necessary. Scrubs are provided. Successful candidates will possess teamwork skills, independence, and strong communication. Surgery is responsible for C-sections, while nurses circulate for neonatal care. The facility is located in a rural setting, with limited services and a distance greater than 1 hour from the neonatal intensive care unit. Request for time off needs to be submitted upfront. Cancellation policy allows for a limited number of shift cancellations during the assignment. The charting system used is MEDITECH. BSN is not required for this position. Trauma level experience is not specified for this role.
