Experience with Antepartum care, Pre-eclampsia, Diabetes, and multiple gestations
Proficient in active management of laboring patients, induction, and augmentation
Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The nurse will be responsible for caring for high-risk labor and delivery patients.
Expected patient ratios are Labor 1:2 and Antepartum 1:3.
The nurse will provide care for patients with various conditions including diabetes and pre-eclampsia.
The nurse should be comfortable with the induction and augmentation of labor.
Candidates must have experience with maternal emergencies.
The facility has approximately 200-300 births per month.
Nurses will float between units as required.
Weekends shifts are expected.
No on-call shifts are required.
This is a teaching hospital providing comprehensive support services.
The nurse will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Skills in IV medication management and monitoring are essential.
Candidates must demonstrate effective patient assessments and care planning.
Experience with external and internal fetal monitoring is required.
The nurse will assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Diverse patient populations, including neonates and adults, will be encountered.
Travelers may float between nearby facilities as necessary.
Travelers must adhere to compliance timelines and processes throughout the assignment.
