Description:
This is a Rapid Response position in a Labor and Delivery setting.
The unit has 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation rooms, 2 OB PACU, and 2 operating rooms.
The staff consists of 79 members with day and night shifts.
The patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 2 patients and 1 RN to 1 patient in certain scenarios.
The typical equipment includes GE fetal monitoring.
The electronic medical record systems used are CPN and Meditech.
Common procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, cervical exams, labor management, medication titration, and McRoberts maneuver.
The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple patients.
Weekend shifts and on-call availability may be required based on unit needs.
