Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $4,116 per week in Eureka, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 1-3 - Experience with Epic charting system - Float required to meet facility needs Description: Winter bill rate increase will be effective from October 4, 2026, through February 27, 2027. After February 27, 2027, the rate will automatically return to the standard rate. Cancellations due to the rate change after signature will result in a systemwide Do Not Return. This position prefers candidates with postpartum experience. Weekend work is required to meet staffing needs. The unit handles high-risk obstetric cases and a culturally diverse population. Registered Nurses circulate during cesarean sections. Staffing consists of 11 rooms with 15 beds and an average daily census of 15-20 patients. Travelers are first to float within their scope. Must have the ability to assist with various procedures including high-risk delivery and vaginal delivery. Responsibilities include discharge teaching to parents, performing assessments, and managing medications. Additional duties include the administration of blood products, care of newborns, and maintaining central lines. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to provide lactation support and education. Will utilize various equipment and protocols in the labor and delivery setting. Compliance with patient care guidelines and interdisciplinary support processes is expected. Travelers may be requested to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling and adhere to contracted hours. References will be required covering recent work experience.
