Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients in a high-risk OB unit, including patients requiring induction and high-risk antepartum monitoring
  • Manage patient care across LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU as needed
  • Assess and triage third-trimester patients and manage an active daily triage and testing caseload
  • Serve in or train toward a charge nurse role as unit needs require
  • Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing requirements
  • Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
  • Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to offer finalization)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers and declinations not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery or OB setting
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records charting
  • Familiarity with high-volume, high-acuity OB environments including triage, inductions, and antepartum care
