Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Shift varies, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving a high-volume patient population
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with pregnancy-related conditions including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination
• Adhere to unit-specific holiday scheduling requirements, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• AWHONN certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity obstetric conditions including preeclampsia, preterm labor, and diabetes in pregnancy
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
