Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Labor & Delivery care including cervical exams, antepartum monitoring, labor management, amnio infusions, epidural assistance, IV placement, and Pitocin administration
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to findings
• Circulate C-sections and participate in baby catching/receiving as required
• Conduct APGAR scoring and provide breastfeeding education and support
• Deliver post-partum care covering transition through discharge for both mother and baby
• Collaborate within a unit environment that includes L&D, postpartum/antepartum, OB/ED, OR, and a Level II NICU

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal monitoring certification required
• Must be comfortable with baby catching/receiving

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Epic EMR strongly preferred
• Comfort with all aspects of post-partum care from transition through discharge for mother and baby
• Scrub experience a plus (Scrub Tech is on-site; scrub-trained RNs may be utilized for sick call coverage)
• Multilingual skills, particularly Russian or Spanish, preferred given the patient population served
