Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Seasonal Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | No On-Call Required | 4 Weekend Shifts Per Schedule
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk maternal patients at a Level 4 designated maternal center serving patients at any gestation
- Assist with and circulate for vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, D&C, C-hyst, and PASD cases
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity and census
- Perform triage assessments and support labor management across a 22-bed unit including 16 labor beds
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, surgical techs, and unit clerks
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Experience caring for high-risk maternal patients
- Experience circulating in the operating room and performing triage
- Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly, and maintain a fast pace in a high-acuity environment
- Strong team-oriented approach to patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills- Greater than 5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Familiarity with CPN and/or Meditech EMR platforms
- Experience with complex obstetric procedures including PASD and C-hyst cases
