Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Rotating 5/2 schedule (2 on, 2 off, 5 on, 5 off); Week 1 is orientation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout the Labor & Delivery process
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status during labor, utilizing OBIX fetal monitoring systems
• Document patient care accurately using MedHost EMR
• Collaborate with LPN staff who support OB and Nursery areas, while the RN focuses on laboring patients
• Support a unit with approximately 15–25 deliveries per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Louisiana RN license or multistate compact license required at time of submission
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• AHA ACLS certification required at time of submission
• AHA NRP certification required at time of submission
• AWHONN certification required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Labor & Delivery RN experience in a comparable clinical setting
• Familiarity with OBIX fetal monitoring and MedHost EMR systems
• Ability to adapt to a rotating non-negotiable 5/2 schedule
