Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care across the full LDRP scope, including antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum (mother and baby), special care nursery, and general nursery
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies to deliver safe, evidence-based obstetrical care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases
- Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in anticipating and planning for safe patient deliveries
- Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff; provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Float within the unit as required based on patient volume and acuity
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), or Athena (clinic) EMR systems
- Experience working in a full LDRP unit environment with varying patient ratios (1:1 – 1:4)
