Job Title
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
LocationCharlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 48 Hours per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) populations, including a certified nurse midwife population
- Work within a unit that averages approximately 2,000 deliveries annually, utilizing 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms
- Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as expected; may be floated to NICU (feeders/growers) within scope of practice
- Document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
- Adhere to unit float requirements and facility compliance policies throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; license must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Fetal monitoring certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- BSN degree preferred
- Experience with both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patient populations
- Familiarity with Mother/Baby and NICU (feeder/grower) care environments
