Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) populations, including a certified nurse midwife population
Work within a unit that averages approximately 2,000 deliveries annually, utilizing 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms
Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as expected; may be floated to NICU (feeders/growers) within scope of practice
Document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
Adhere to unit float requirements and facility compliance policies throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; license must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
Current BLS certification
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Experience with both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patient populations
Familiarity with Mother/Baby and NICU (feeder/grower) care environments
