RN – Labor & Delivery (Women's Care Unit)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (1800–0630) | 36–48 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life, coordinating care across disciplines
- Perform complete patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes for each assigned patient
- Administer IV fluids, medications, and narcotics in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
- Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient responses in the clinical record
- Provide and document patient and family education; communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader care team
- Direct and delegate tasks to other members of the healthcare team providing direct patient care under RN supervision
Required Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience with a strong focus in Labor & Delivery; newborn stabilization skills required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire; recertification every two years)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills- STABLE certification strongly recommended; experience with newborn stabilization highly valued
- ACLS certification preferred
- Postpartum and nursery experience (any level) appreciated
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with clinical documentation systems
