Contract | Night Shift (18:00–06:30) | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care for patients across the lifespan, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
Administer medications, IV fluids, and controlled substances in accordance with established policies and procedures
Provide compassionate, safe, and effective nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients, including newborn stabilization
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the patient care team, including patients, families, and physicians, and provide accurate end-of-shift reports
Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the clinical record using EPIC
Direct and delegate tasks to other healthcare team members under RN supervision, and respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California
Minimum 3–4 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience with strong labor skills; postpartum experience required
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
NRP certification required (must obtain within six months of start if not current)
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required (must obtain within six months of start if not current)
