Job Title

Seasonal Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Labor & Delivery unit maintaining a 2:1 patient ratio
  • Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and external cephalic versions
  • Monitor and assess high-risk obstetric patients using Centricity and GE fetal monitoring equipment
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN electronic medical record systems
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CSTs, and flex staff across a 29-bed unit with 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms
  • Function as a self-starter capable of working independently while supporting fellow team members
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current NRP certification
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FM) certification or AWHONN certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Meditech EMR
  • PACU experience
  • Surgical/OR experience in an obstetric setting
