Contract (6 Months) | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Third Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Monitor maternal and fetal status continuously, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and escalating concerns appropriately
• Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per physician orders and established protocols
• Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery expectations, and postpartum care

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, every third weekend, and every other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patients and conditions
• ACLS or AWHONN certification preferred
