Key Responsibilities- Perform daily patient rounds to ensure quality care, coordinating and addressing any unmet patient requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on comprehensive assessment of patients' physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
- Assess, intervene, and reassess patients' pain and symptoms promptly, taking appropriate action per standard operating procedures.
- Identify early warning signs of patient condition changes, respond appropriately to deteriorating patients, and assist with or institute emergency measures as needed.
- Report and accurately document pertinent patient observations and reactions to the appropriate multidisciplinary team members, ensuring timely interventions and referrals.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient/family education as early as possible, and delegate nursing interventions appropriately within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or a Compact State Agreement, required prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), required prior to start date.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), required prior to start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics, required prior to start date.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. program certification, required prior to start date.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary care team in an acute care or hospital setting.
