Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor and delivery process
- Operate independently as the sole L&D nurse on shift, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and autonomy
- Manage an average of approximately 36 births per month
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and coordinate care with the broader clinical team
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Demonstrated experience in OB/Labor & Delivery nursing
- Ability and comfort working independently as the only L&D nurse on shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience in a low-volume or solo-coverage L&D environment
