Job Title
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
LocationEureka, CA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients, including high-risk OB cases and a culturally diverse population
- Circulate on cesarean sections as required
- Manage patient care across an average daily census of 15–20 patients
- Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities nearby to meet staffing needs, within scope of practice
- Work weekends and two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) as required
Required Qualifications- Valid, in-hand California RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
- Willingness to float within hospital and to nearby affiliate facilities
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and required holidays
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills- Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply
