Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDRP unit supporting approximately 35 deliveries per month
- Titrate drips including oxytocin and occasional magnesium sulfate per provider orders
- Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips independently using Philips monitors and the OBIX EFM system
- Manage postpartum patients and support newborn care including CPAP initiation for infants awaiting transfer when necessary
- Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines and collaborate with a charge RN and OB tech each shift
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 full weekends per 6-week period, on-call shifts, and holiday coverage
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications
- Hands-on Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to titrate IV drips including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
- Ability to independently read and interpret electronic fetal monitoring strips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a combined LDRP unit setting
- Familiarity with OBIX fetal monitoring systems and Philips telemetry monitors
- Experience caring for patients at high-altitude facilities or with altitude-related neonatal considerations
