The successful candidate will work closely with the Nurse Manager/Director to coordinate and deliver patient care.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery- Identify and meet personal learning needs; attend relevant education programs
- Use patient education materials and assess readiness to learn
- Identify patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate care and ensure continuity
- Provide safe, competent care for patients with complex needs
- Perform point-of-care testing and follow standards and policies
- Organize and prioritize care; consult resources for complex issues
- Set and achieve professional growth goals; support unit objectives
- Communicate effectively and give feedback to coworkers
- Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care
- Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge, and support family advocacy

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification
- NRP certification
- Nursing Diploma OR ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
- One (1) year of nursing experience
