Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients
- Manage and titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia per physician orders
- Care for patients with obstetric, antepartum, post-partum, post-surgical GYN, and high-risk diagnoses including hypertension and diabetes in pregnancy
- Maintain AWHONN-compliant staffing ratios (1:3 general; 1:1 for actively laboring patients)
- Participate in unit orientation including classroom training and supervised floor shifts
- Adhere to facility fingernail policy; artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Required Qualifications- Active RN licensure
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Must achieve a passing score of 90% or higher on the unit orientation skills exam
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with high-risk obstetric populations including antepartum and post-surgical GYN patients
- Familiarity with AWHONN guidelines and labor and delivery staffing ratios
- Experience titrating obstetric drips in a clinical setting
