Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans across the perinatal continuum.
Deliver direct patient care in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum, including labor support, delivery assistance, and newborn assessment.
Provide culturally sensitive education to patients and families, supporting health literacy and successful transitions of care.
Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader interdisciplinary care team.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and ongoing professional development; float to other departments as needed.
Required Qualifications
Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license.
Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent) required.
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients across the lifespan.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
SAFER NM Technician certification preferred.
OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification (required within 12 months of hire).
Experience with sterile technique and sterile field maintenance in a perinatal setting.
