Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate care has been delegated
- Support facility nursing leadership to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
- Monitor and maintain competency of clinical staff
- Manage resources appropriately as they relate to patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a supervisory or charge nurse capacity
- Familiarity with quality and safety standards in a Labor and Delivery setting
