Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in labor, preterm labor, triage, pre-op, post-op, and low-risk antepartum settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Circulate and scrub for OB-GYN and gynecological surgeries, and support couplet care and transition nursery as needed
- Attend low-risk and high-risk deliveries, providing skilled intrapartum nursing care
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
- Safely administer high-alert medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
- Float to Post-Partum or NICU based on unit needs and individual skill set; staffing ratio 1:1–3
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, and drain management
- Experience floating to Post-Partum or NICU environments
