Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, and related OB-GYN conditions across labor rooms and triage rooms
- Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, post-op, low-risk antepartum, and low-risk labor and delivery procedures
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery as needed
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vac
- Administer high-alert medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
- Float to Post-Partum or NICU based on unit needs and individual skill set
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Valid RN license; compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Must be available to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with couplet care, transition nursery, and high-risk deliveries is a plus
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered
