Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Weekends Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to obstetrical patients throughout all stages of labor and delivery
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and administer medications as ordered
- Carry out and evaluate the effects of provider orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Document all care provided in accordance with facility policies and accreditation standards
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Current ACLS certification (must have been obtained within the last 6 months)
- CPI certification must be in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Meditech electronic health record system (on-site training available if needed)
- Prior Labor and Delivery experience with familiarity managing varying patient ratios based on stage of labor
