Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: August 2026
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and ongoing professional development
- Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
- Float to other units as facility needs require
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Florida license or eligibility required (AHCA compliance required for Florida placements)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and/or Mother/Baby care
- Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- PALS certification required (may be obtained within 30 days of start date if not currently held)
Preferred Experience / Skills- AWHONN certification preferred; onsite completion may be available
- Experience floating across multiple obstetrical and women's health units
