Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within scope of practice
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders accurately
• Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
• Support patient wellness and recovery through comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Special Care Nursery and NICU experience required
• Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for nurses performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-sections; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for nurses caring for pediatric patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Labor and Delivery nurses are expected to complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring training within the first year post-orientation and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring within three years
• Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
