Key Responsibilities- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within scope of practice
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
- Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders accurately
- Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
- Maintain compliance with all credentialing, certification, and documentation requirements throughout employment
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if performing circulating or recovery room duties for C-section
- Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required if caring for pediatric patients
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred
- Special Care Nursery and/or NICU experience preferred
- Labor & Delivery nurses are expected to complete Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring within the first year and Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring within three years of completing labor orientation
