Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit supporting low and high-risk patients across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and post-partum settings
• Perform and interpret external fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Circulate for C-sections as required
• Float to Perinatal unit as needed
• Participate in mandatory on-call shifts, expected approximately 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts
• Document and communicate using EPIC, SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Active California RN license required at time of submission
• EPIC experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Advanced certification required
• Must be willing to work most holidays; expected 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
• Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (onsite, 20 questions + 17 rhythm strips; 80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted)
• Completion of required specialty modules required prior to start
• Smoke/nicotine-free facility; must arrive free of tobacco odor
• Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Familiarity with Omnicell and eMD Allscripts systems
• Experience in both low and high-risk Labor and Delivery environments
