Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a patient population including neonates, adolescents, and adults in a Labor and Delivery setting supporting both low and high-risk cases
- Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Circulate for C-section procedures as required
- Float to Perinatal unit as needed based on staffing requirements
- Work within a unit encompassing Triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas with 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
- Utilize unit systems including SBAR communication, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
- Epic EMR experience required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-risk Labor and Delivery patient populations
- Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems
- Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
