Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

McAllen, Texas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 6-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor
- Assist in the operating room during cesarean sections
- Monitor fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Manage antepartum patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during final stage labor and C-section procedures
- Float to Post-Partum unit as needed and rotate weekends and on-call shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
- Proficiency with fetal heart monitors, ultrasound, and OR equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
- Assertive, friendly demeanor with strong critical thinking skills
