Provide direct patient care in an LDRP setting where patients remain in the same room throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Attend and support vaginal deliveries and circulate and recover C-section patients in OR suites on the unit
Staff triage, assess incoming patients, and manage a triage couplet load per AWHONN staffing standards
Titrate drips including Pitocin protocol, Magnesium protocol, and occasional Insulin drips
Complete newborn stabilization, physical assessment, and cares within the first two hours of delivery
Provide postpartum couplet care and support a diverse patient population including HTN, TOLAC, gestational diabetes, and antepartum patients at 32 weeks gestation or greater
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure
Minimum 1 year of L&D experience accepted; 3 years strongly preferred
Current NRP, BLS, ACLS, and S.T.A.B.L.E. certifications required
Experience with magnesium administration and titration
Ability to circulate C-sections, manage triage, and provide postpartum couplet care
Mother-baby experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Charge nurse experience preferred
Familiarity with Centricity EFM system and EPIC
Experience with AWHONN staffing standards and high-volume delivery environments
