Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit with an average daily census of 10 patients across 7 rooms and 14 beds
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation as determined by patient census
• Float to Medical-Surgical and Orthopedics units as needed, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
• Commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete all required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment; module time is non-billable

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (at least 1 year required)
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (Charge RNs and Leads are acceptable)
• Background must be clear; facility does not accept Nursys or background hits
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard terms; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered; total RTO requests should not exceed 7 days

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Seasoned travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Labor and Delivery workflows in a community or acute care hospital setting
• Flexibility to float between units and adapt to varying census demands
