Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients within a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit at a 1:2 patient ratio
- Care for newborns immediately following vaginal and cesarean section deliveries
- Circulate and recover patients undergoing cesarean sections
- Assist with and support procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
- Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditach electronic documentation systems
- Fulfill scheduling requirements including 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift per scheduling period; travelers float first per unit policy
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM certification required
- Proficiency in care of the laboring patient, newborn care immediately post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients
Preferred Experience / Skills- Familiarity with CPN and Meditach documentation systems
- Experience working in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting with a collaborative multidisciplinary team including unit secretaries and OR techs
- Comfort with shared decision-making models in patient care
