Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to women during labor and childbirth, monitoring both mother and baby throughout the process
• Coach and support mothers and their families through the stages of labor and delivery
• Assist physicians during deliveries, including C-sections, and serve in circulator and recovery roles as needed
• Perform fetal monitoring and administer IV medications including Magnesium and Pitocin per protocol
• Provide post-delivery support including breastfeeding assistance and mother-baby care
• Care for low-birth-weight, premature, and mechanically ventilated newborns in a Level 2 Skilled Newborn Nursery setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Illinois RN license at time of submission
• Illinois Nurse Agency license must be included in submittal profile (required by the State of Illinois for temporary staffing)
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience with high-volume birthing environments
