Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Perform sterile vaginal exams as part of routine patient assessment and monitoring
- Circulate during obstetric procedures, supporting the clinical team throughout the delivery process
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Must be an experienced traveler (first-time travelers will not be considered)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
- Experience in large acute care hospital settings highly preferred
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
