Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit, maintaining a 1:1 ratio for active labor patients and 3:1 for couplet care
Utilize intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue equipment to monitor maternal and fetal status
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EHR
Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
Float to other units within the hospital as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Iowa licensure required
Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; travel experience considered in lieu of additional years
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
Current titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB)
Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in an OB/GYN or Labor & Delivery setting
Familiarity with Meditech EHR and Philips Tracevue fetal monitoring systems
Experience floating to multiple units within a hospital environment
