Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum unit, including high-risk deliveries across all gestational ages
  • Circulate for C-section procedures in one of two C-section suites with recovery (scrubbing experience not required)
  • Float between Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU as needed, including care of grower/feeder patients in the NICU
  • Monitor fetal heart rates using FetalLink integrated with Cerner EMR, adhering to AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
  • Care for a diverse patient population including high-risk deliveries, patients without prenatal care, substance abuse and withdrawal cases, and a high volume of Spanish-speaking patients
  • Participate in weekend shifts and holiday coverage rotation with permanent staff
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with 2–3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (Intermediate or Advanced level)
  • Postpartum experience required for all L&D nurses
  • Ability to circulate for C-section procedures
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
  • At least one prior travel nursing contract preferred
  • Willingness to take optional on-call shifts
  • Experience working with high-risk obstetric populations and Spanish-speaking patients
